Reiseverlauf       

1. day :                      Drive to Kiel, Germany. at 14.00 the Color Line leaves for Oslo, and at 19.30 the Stena Line leaves for Göteborg in Sweden,

2. day:                      Gøteborg – Oslo

Arrival 09 Uhr in Göteborg and you have 310 km to drive to Oslo. Overnight in Cochs Pension in hart of Oslo, just behind the royal garden.

3. day:                      Oslo - Lillehammer - Otta    

Time for a morning visit in the Vigelandpark and some Museums before leaving the capitol Oslo. You start the round trip towards north on the E6 in direction of Lillehammer (Olympic arena winter -94, the open-air museum Maihaugen). You drive on through the valley of Gudbrandsdal with the charming old log houses in the wide valley until  Otta. From here you drive into the mountainand will stay in the cosy chalets by Rondane Spa Hotel, close to the border of the National Park of Rondane. 

4. + 5. day:            Rondane Nationalpark for 2 days to explore, or you make an excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage city of mining, Røros. You can make othe tours as you wish, or use some of the Aktivities like Tennis, biking, hiking or just relax in the beautiful surroundings.

6. day:                     Otta - Lom – Sognefjellstrasse - Sogndal - Jølster.

Driving back into the valley, cross it and into the Otta valley on the Rd15 to the charming Lom, where you can visit the Stavechurch, a great mineral exibition or the Mountain Museum. Continue with the Bøvervalley and the Sognefjell mountain, the highest pass in Norway on 1.450 masl, and down towards the Sognefjord by Skjolden. You drive along the fjord to the merchant center and education center of the region, Sogndal and continue the new road and tunnel to "book town" of Norway, Fjærland. Here you can visit the Glacier museum and the Bøya glacier before tha last 11km long tunnel to Jølster, where you will stay at the foot of the Jostedalen glacier, in Stardalen Hyttegrend some km on the side road from Klakegg.

7. + 8. day:            You have only 2 days at your disposal in Jølster. You might make an excursion to the UNESCO fjord Geirangerfjord, to the coast City of  Florø or to the Westkap, westernmost point of norwegian mainland. Wenn you want to be more activ yourself, a fishing tour, hiking or a guided glacier tour can be performed during this stay. May be you want to prolong the stay here?

9. day:                     Jølster – Sognefjord - Hardangerfjord

You find the way to the next destination by crossing the pass of Gaularfjell and down to the Sognefjord by Dragsvik, where you cross by ferry to Vangsnes, and next stop is Vik, where you can visit the Hopperstad Stavechurch.  Going on the next pass across Vikafjellet with the spectacular view back to Balestrand and Fjærlandsfjord, and continue to Voss, and further on to the Hardangerfjord, and from Kvanndal with the ferry to Utne, finally 10km along the fjord to Alsaker where you stay in Hardanger Gjestegard, an old cieder fabric, rebuildt in some very cosy appartments at the shoreside.

10 + 11. day:            Excursion to Bergen via Tørviksbygd and Nordheimsund. City sightseeing in Bergen. Return via Voss oder  Os – Strandebarm (2 ferries). A shorter tour to the beautiful rosegarden at Baroni Rosendal, and the Folgefonni Glasier and the new tunnel under the Glasier to  Odda, and passing Aga-Tunet and Utne before you reach Alsaker. You might also stay at the Fjord, try to get a fish or make other activities.

12. day:               Hardangerfjord -  Hallingdal/Gol

After breakfast you leave and cross Hardangerfjord to Kinsarvik, while watching the biggest fruitgarden of Norway along the fjord and the glacier as a background.  You follow the fjord to the end in Eidfjord ( Visit Sima hydro power station and Hardangervidda Natursenter ) Then you climb the Måbø valley to the great waterfall of Vøringsfossen, before we start to cross the Hardangervidda plateau. With the view of Hallingskarvet mountain, you reach Hallingdal, passing the old winter resort of Geilo before Gol, and you go into the mountain to the Örterstølen Sportell where you stay in nice chalet the last 2 nights.

13. day:                 Hallingdal / Gol.

Either you can relax with a short hike to one of the peaks, or you can make a great excursion to the inner part of Sognefjord, with a boat trip and/or a trip with the famous Flåm railroad. If you want to go shopping, both Gol and Fagernes has many nice small shops. Hiking, Kanooing, or  a bike tour in the area.

14. day:             Gol - Gøteborg.  Return to Oslo for the ferry to Kiel (Germany), or the new tunnel under the Oslofjord, Rd25 from Drammen to Drøbak, and continue E6 to Gøteborg. 18.30 Embarcing the Stena Line and 19.30 departure for Kiel.    

15. day:             Arrival in Kiel and continue home
