GOLGEBIRGE, between Hallingdal and Valdres offers a variation of possibilities for an aktiv vacation. You can explore the close surroundings, or visit the majestic Fjords, just a 100 km away. ( Sognefjord und Hardangerfjord ) or make an excursion into the Jotunheimen mountain world. ( Norways largest mountain area with more than 300 peaks above 2.000 m

SUMMER    Cultural attraktions like an open air museum, Stave churches, or a visit to the "Bear Zoo" or Langedrag farm with 25 different animals like Wolf, Lynx or Moose in their natural surroundings.

The summer houses are located in between the many summer farms in Gol mountain, some of the farms still in use by the farmer.  A beautiful culture landscape witha lot of hiking routes for all ages, as well as a wide net of Bike roads in this charming landscape.

WINTER    Golgebirge is a safe place concerning the snow conditions. With a prepared net of ca 200 Km loipe on the plateau or in sheltered forest area if the weather goes wrong. A number of aktivities like dog sledging, adventures sledge tour with Fackeln, or Snow shoe tour in the deep snow. What about a ski tour at night by full moon? - and by cold weather you can be lucky to observe the northern light.

Are You more into the alpine skiing, we can offer the ski center by Storefjell Resort and by Oset in Gol mountain or Gol SkiSenter, or You drive easily 35 Km to Hemsedal, where You find the best alpine center in Norway.
